HAUL: Beauty Products from Madrid

YAY Finally! My Madrid Haul is online! Actually, it isn't even a huge haul or something haha. I bought lots of Urban Decay products at Sephora. My fashion haul will be posted separately.

My Life in Pictures - Madrid Citytrip Part 3

This is the 3rd part of my Madrid citytrip. On the 3rd day of our holiday we went shopping at the shopping streets at Sol and at a long shopping street called Gran Via. There was a hugeeee Zara, H&M and Sephora store there. OMG, I felt in heaven when I entered Zara, my favourite store hahaha. It was so hugeeee omg! I probably spent 2 hours at ZARA or something and ofcourse I purchased a few stuff there. The prices were so low compared to the ZARA prices here in Europe, but their collections were the same. My haul will be revealed in the next my life in pictures blogpost so please stay tuned!

My Life in Pictures - Madrid Citytrip Part 2

Lets move on with my adventures in Madrid! As many of you know, I went to Madrid for 4 days. In this blogpost I will be sharing part 2 of my journey. On the second day we went to do some sightseeing. We went to the Royal Palace, the Almudena Cathedral and Botin - the oldest restaurant in the whole world according to the Guinness Book of Records.

SIESTA - One point that's extremely important to know if you are in Spain is that all restaurants are closed during lunch break and during the late afternoon. Most people in Madrid don’t have dinner until around 9 or 10pm so don't expect that you are able to eat at a restaurant during 6pm. Fast food restaurants and clothing stores are open during that period of time.
Have you missed the first part? Go to part 1

In the picture below I took a picture with my friend and we had no idea what kind of building or statue it was behind us. We just took a picture because it was pretty hahaha we were on our way to the cathedral and royal palace ^o^.

My Life in Pictures - Madrid Citytrip Part 1

Two weeks ago I went to Madrid for a few days with two friends of mine. Some of you have probably seen pictures on my Facebook and Instagram already. People who are following me on my blog only will be seeing the pictures today ^o^! I was there for 4 days and I took heaps of pictures, so I will be splitting my Madrid trip in a few parts. In this blogpost I will be showing you part 1! All pictures were taken with my Iphone 4s so please don't mind the bad quality.

I was super excited to go there because of the lovely weather. It was around 36 degrees, which is extremely hot compared to the weather in The Netherlands. It took slightly more than 2 hours to fly from The Netherlands to Madrid. Once we arrived in Madrid we took the subway which went directly to our hotel. We stayed at the hotel exe suites 33, which i highly recommend! It had great ratings on booking.com so we gave it a try and we weren't disappointed at all. The room was spacious, service was great, everything was clean and it was near the city centre as well! I highly recommend this place if you are going to Madrid!

After we left our luggage we went straight to the busy streets - Puerta del Sol and Plaza Mayor. To be honest, these two places were very disappointing, it didn't look special at all. However, i'm glad we met this awesome (chubby) Spiderman at Plaza Mayor. He definitely made our day hahaha! He even created a petite chubby Spiderman statue hahaha xD!

Happy Mooncake Festival - 中秋節快乐!

Happy mooncake festival everybody ^o^! Have you'll been eating mooncakes lately? Many people love to eat the mooncakes with eggs in it, but I prefer the ones without egg xD. I wish I was in Asia right now to celebrate it. This is such a huge festival in Asia. Two years ago I celebrated it in Hangzhou with a few friends. It's always so beautiful and crowded during this festival. I even had the chance to light my own sky lantern back then ='D. My friend (Weiyi, which you see in the video) and I did need a bit help from local Chinese people to release it xD. Do you see all the lanterns in the sky? It's so pretty ^___^, watch the short video below:

London Haul, Part 1 - Superdrug, Boots & Topshop

This is my London Haul part 1. I went to Superdrug and Boots a couple of times while I was in London. Unfortunately I didn't see lots of things that I wanted. Most of the products were also sold in The Netherlands. I actually wanted to buy some Sleek palettes there, but I didn't see it at Superdrug =/, too bad. However, I bought some Barry M nail polishes that I wanted for quite a while.

I bought #318 Peach Melba and #304 Mint Green at Superdrug. There was sale on the Barry M nail paint line (excluding instant nail effect nail polishes). They sold 2 for £4 or something, I forgot... so I bought two of them. Also, I stopped by Topshop and saw a Barry M stash over there, so I bought two of the Barry M Instant Nail effect nail polishes. These are two crackling nail polishes and I bought #316 white and #311 black for £3.99 each.

Btw. I LOVE Top Shop, it's so large!! They have a huge assortment, but the clothing were quite expensive, so I didn't buy any clothing. I didn't think that it was worth the money =/.

I will do some swatches of the nail polishes later ^___^, the crackling nail polishes are awesome. They are drying very fast!

I also bought a Vaseline Lip Therapy, the stick version at Boots. I don't know why they aren't selling these in Europe. The packaging is so much better than the pocket size version.

Queensday in Amsterdam

Yesterday it was Queensday in The Netherlands. It's a national holiday when we celebrate the birthday of the Queen! All you could see was the color orange in town. It's always very crowded in the city center during this holiday. You will hear live music and see heaps of canal boats with "orange people" on it. Outside the city center you will see people selling their old clothing, books, furniture etcetera on the streets. On this day everybody (even children are/) is allowed to sell their things on the streets. It's a great day if you want to get rid of your old stuff "crap".

I took this picture at the city center in Amsterdam. Lots of people wearing orange shirts/dresses ^___^.
I took a walk outside the city center with a friend of mine and saw the craziest people and items that people were selling xD. However, it was even more fun than in the city center, loads of people were dancing and playing music.
I even saw 2 golems hahah, awesome!!! Check the video out below:

My apologies for not writing any product reviews lately. There were so many holidays xD. Anyways, how was your Queensday in The Netherlands? What did you do?

Joey Yung (容祖兒) Number 6 Concert in London

On the 26th of April I went to the Joey Yung (容祖兒) concert at the Royal Albert Hall in London. Whoaa, it was so much fun and I'm glad she sang loads of old songs cause I was able to sing a long haha. There were so many Asians in the audience. (Chinese people in London makes me think of people in Hong Kong, they all look so stylish and everybody dyes their hair there xD.) Anyways, I took a few pictures and recorded a video for you guys. I didn't have the time to edit it. Besides, the quality of the pictures aren't very clear cause my camera sucks and I was sitting a bit far away from the stage (like 8 meters).

My sis and I, do we look like eachother? hmmm.. neahhh...
Joey and her pretty blue dress ^___^!
Everybody started to jump when she sang ^___^~ so much fun !!!
We got two small lights that we could use ='D.

Have you ever been to a concert before?

Food in London - Yummy in my tummy

There will be lots of food pictures in this post so beware haha =p! I'm going to give you a brief summary about the food & restaurants that we went. We had a nice drink at Starbucks~ whoa everything looked so yummy!!! (Starbucks coffee was everywhere at every corner @_@ can't really miss it if you're in London.)
We had a lunch at Wasabi, a small restaurant where you can buy sushi and hot dishes. It was so crowded there xD so we gave it a try. The food was ok for an affordable price (4 maki sushi's for £1.-) ^___^.

We had dinner at HK Diner in China town. I often see commercials about that restaurant on t.v. so I wanted to try it out. Pfff, it was such a bad choice to eat there! The food was bad, the drinks and service as well =.=". Also the bill was high for a few dishes. Never going to eat there again & it's not recommended! (I ordered a taro bubble tea btw. which you see on the picture below)
Anyways, since we didn't finish the dishes cause it sucked =.=", we decided to buy some Chinese cakes, like polo pau (菠蘿包), wife cake, egg tarts (蛋撻) etc. as our midnight snack and we had a nice dessert at a  restaurant across the street.
The desserts were nice & fresh! Those black things are Chinese herbal jelly's(龟苓膏), the yellow stuff is mango and the white stuff is tofu (豆腐花). Yummm typical Chinese desserts ♥, can't find these in The Netherlands ='D.

My London trip - Sightseeing

Hi all ^___^, I'm back from London ~! As y'll know I went to London for 3 days. In the following blogposts I will give you a brief summary about my trip ^___^! Unfortunately I didn't take many pictures since there wasn't anything special that was worth a picture lol.

I stayed at the Copthorne Tara hotel in London. It's a great & comfortable hotel, the rooms were clean, the food was ok, the service was great and it's near a subway which is good.

We dropped our luggage at the hotel and decided to do some sightseeing on the first day. We went to the London bridge, Tower bridge, Big Ben and the London eye. These were the few spots that I really wanted to see in London. However, it was nothing special actually lol.
Our eyes are so small in that picture cause the sun was shining in our face xD. (That's my sis btw. I don't look like her right?) It was quite cold but the sun was shining so bright ='D. Besides, we also saw a guy without a face lol lol, so fake~! haha.. We actually wanted to visit more places, but we all had a headache that day because of the weather and the high air conditioning in subways (it made me think of Hong Kong!). Anyways, I had a great time in London and I'm glad that I was able to see the Big Ben and London eye ^___^. Have you ever been to London before?
