People who are into the Asian beauty market have probably noticed a new gadget. It has been very popular these few months and it's an upcoming trend in the make up application market. I'm talking about an vibrating applicator for BB creams which obviously can be used for foundations as well. It's a device to get an even application, so you can say goodbye to streaky lines with this baby! More and more Korean brands are adding a vibrating applicator into their collection. Korean brands like BRTC, Missha, Dr. Jart+, Etude House, Tony Moly, It's Skin and The Face Shop are selling it already. Will this be the next big thing this year?! Review: KOJI No.71 Eyelash Curler

You've probably heard of this eyelash curler before since it's one of the most popular ones and people compare it with the eyelash curler from Shu Uemura. It's the Koji eyelash curler no. 71. Liquid-Filled Cotton Swabs, Eye Make Up Remover

This is probably my favorite beauty tool that I discovered this year ^^. I knew that these already excited in the beauty market, but I couldn't find it in The Netherlands. I did see these in drugstores while I was in Hong Kong, so I bought 10 packs there ^___^. These are liquid-filled cotton swabs which are used to remove eye make up. It's very useful when you're outside, when you don't have water near you and want to remove your make up. I always put it in my make up bag now-a-days. It's just so easy to use and effective! MUJI Lotion/ Toner Dispensers

While I was at the MUJI store in Hong Kong, I bought a few dispensers. These really caught my eye, because I haven't seen these kind of dispensers in The Netherlands. These are suitable for liquid-y things, like toners and lotion. I went to Paris for 2 days a few weeks ago and I brought this with me. I was so happy that I brought this with me o.o. I can't live without my Hada Labo Hydrating Lotion now-a-days and I didn't want to bring the whole bottle with me because it's heavy. Therefore I had put a bit of the lotion into the MUJI travel container.

My Top 10 Favorite Products of 2011!

Wow, it has been a year already, time really flies! 1 and a half day left before the year 2012 will start. I wrote a lot of reviews during this whole year, but never did a "My favorite products" post, since I don't buy products every month. Massage rollers improves blood circulation

I recently bought a massage roller for my belly and waist which improves the blood circulation. Besides, it will also make the belly and waist a bit slimmer. Well, does it really work....? I actually have no idea.. I have been using this massage roller for a week now, every day for 6 minutes, no results are visible yet, so I'm still testing it out. Have you tried any massage rollers before, did it work on you?

Bornprettystore: 7pc Make Up Brush Set Review

Today I'm going to review the makeup brush set that I received from them. Most of the people know that they are selling nail products, but did you know that they also sell make up brushes?

This makeup brush set has 7 pieces and comes in a lovely golden butterfly case which you can easily put in your bag.

Banpresto - Japanese Bath Bomb Maker

This is old product, but I think that it is worth a blogpost on my blog ^__^. Remember my old post about Japanese gadgets? Today I have another cool gadget to share haha. It's actually a machine called the bath bomb maker. The bath bomb maker is manufactured by Banpresto, a Japanese game development firm. I never thought that it was so EASY to make a bath bomb o__O". Why are bath bombs so expensive while it's so easy to make :S? All you need is baking soda, citric acid, water and essential oils. This machine is quite expensive though, it's around $116 *kaching*.

Facial Cleansing Pad - Blackhead Remover

This is quite an old product already. You have probably seen this product before on blogs or in youtube videos. I have even seen a similar product like this at the latest bubzbeauty video ;). I recently purchased this product at Ebay and it's called the Facial cleansing pad also known as a blackhead remover. It also came with a very small round cleansing pad (I don't really know what to do with that, maybe it's for the hard to reach nose area? idk..). The product comes in two different colors: light blue and light pink.

At the description of this product it's said that:
- it's made of soft silicone material,
- this pad cleans the dirt on your face,
- it helps to keep your face smooth
- it improves the blood circulation of your face by brushing lightly.

Price
I bought it only for $0.99 including shipping, very cheap~ from the seller : buyincoins_au. It took around 2 weeks to get here in The Netherlands. The seller didn't include the packaging of the product which is a pity and the cleansing pad was also a little bit bend when I received it =(. However, I told the seller about it and he directly refunded my money back, so yeah.. I can say that it's a good seller ^_^.

How to hold the pad
This is the way you hold the cleansing pad. The product is flexible and it’s really sturdy to work with.

How to use?
I'm using this while I clean my face with a cleanser. I use a circular motion. The pointy corner is great for the hard to reach nose areas.

Does this product work?
It doesn't remove my blackheads, but it does remove my white heads. It's a great tool to massage my face with and it gives me the feeling that my face is cleaner after usage xD. I usually use a washcloth or my fingers to clean my face but I don’t think that my fingers are removing the dirt/make up sufficiently. Therefore, I'm happy that I bought this tool :).

Recommended?
Yes, I recommend this beauty tool ^__^, it's cheap and it's very easy to work with!

Review: MY SPRING IT / EPICARE facial hair remover

This is another product that people on Youtube have been raving about since 2009. Apparently there are different kind of brands for these. Those brands are Epicare and My Spring It. It's a tool that removes your facial hair from the roots. Yeah, i know it looks silly, but it does works. My Spring It was designed for use on the upper lip, chin, cheeks, nose and neck areas, but it should not be used to remove hair from the eyebrows.

Price
This tool is sold for €16,95 in several online shops in The Netherlands. Like what the ... €16,95 for this tool O_O? Are you serious...? I just bought it for a few euros on Ebay which works as well.

What is it?
It's a small spring with handles which are made of plastic. Different colors are available. There is nothing inside the spring, no ingredients, nothing!

How long does this tool lasts?
If maintained properly you should be able to use this tool from 6 months to one year before it needs replaced. You need to clean it by bending it like an inverted "U" and shake off the trapped hair after each use. (You can really see the trapped hair if you stretch the spring.) After that, wipe it with a clean dry cloth or a cloth with a bit of alcohol. It's not waterproof and should be used on dry, clean skin. This tool may cause outbreaks if you don't clean your face well before usage.

How to use
Bend the threader into an inverted "U" shape and rotate the handles in- and outwards. Roll the threader on the area where you wish to remove hair. The hair will be pulled from the roots. You do need to practice first! Watch this Epicare video and you will see that this tool will pull the hair out.


Does it hurts?
I usually use tweezers to remove hair at my upper lip area and I don't think it hurts. It did at the beginning but you will get used to it and it won't hurt anymore if you use tweezers more often. When I used the My Spring It tool for the first time it was hurting as well since the hair will be pulled out from the roots. It hurts even more if your facial hair is long. However, I got used to it after a while and it's not hurting anymore now.

My opinion
This tool does what it says, it's really pulling facial hair out from the roots. However, it won't pull a lot of hair out at the same time, so you need to do the same motion over and over again. I do think that it's a good tool to remove the hair on the cheeks and forehead, but it just takes a long long time to remove all of the hair. I prefer to use tweezers for the upper lip area, since it's more accurate which hair you're removing. Overall, it's an ok and fun tool to work with, especially for a few euros. I would NEVER buy it if I saw this in the store for €16.95! Think about it, €16.95 for a spring o_O" omg! Would you buy this?

Japan has the weirdest & coolest beauty gadgets

I love to see Japanese gadgets because they are so BIZARRE XD!!! For example these Mejikara anti-wrinkle glasses lol. This is the description: Embarrassed by those wrinkles starting to appear near your eyes? Slip on these goggle-style glasses and you won't look tired and old anymore! Just wearing the Mejikara for 5 minutes every day will improve the appearance of your face. On the inside of the glasses there are specially-designed ridges which massage and help your skin. It puts gentle pressure on the skin and pushes those sagging eyes back up to where they once were! Lol!!! I would be embarrassed wearing these glasses hahaha, it looks so silly xD! However, this gadget is seems to be a hit in Japan and it's quite expensive as well: $50 USD.

Another silly looking gadget is the Electric nose lift gadget. You can push up your nose with this gadget to create the perfect profile. It's a beauty gadget that applies gentle electric vibrations from the bottom, side and front. Just slip it on and turn on the switch on the front of the frame. While the supports hold your nose in place, the buzzing will help to shape your nose a little bit firmer and higher. You only have to put this 3 minutes once a day on your nose. It looks so weird lol, wondering if this really helps hahaha. It seems to be a big hit in Japan as well and do you know how expensive this is o_o"? dadadadum~ $144 USD is the price tag of this nose lift gadget. WHOA, WHO WOULD BUY THIS?

Easy Hair Bun Tool

I can remember that I've seen this tool before when I was little xD! And now its popular again~ I really was wondering how people in Shanghai got their hair into a pretty bun.... And now I know ~_~ They just used this hair bun tool lol =p Why didn't I noticed it before? It's because I couldn't even see it while they were wearing it o_O"! Are you using this tool as well ?


Does this tool work?
(See picture above) It took me 5 minutes+ to get a "great" hair bun. My hair is extremely thin and I've got MANY layers which makes this tool hard to use for me. Therefore it will take more time to make a pretty bun if your hair is thin and with full of layers....:

1. because of the many layers, a lot of hair will stick out of your bun. You can try to use bobby pins and spray~ that will do, but I don't like to have tons of bobby pins in my hair xD
2. because of the thin hair, you will see that you're wearing the hair bun tool. You can see it through the hair bun.

However, I think it will be a perfect tool for people with thick hair and with none or just a few layers. Add a small hair accessory and you're done ^_^~

It looks like......
I purchased this product on Ebay, but you van probably buy this tool at a drugstore nearby your house. It costs 2-3 euros. It's actually a wire, so its easy to bend. The tool is around 18 centimeters.

Dariya, Hair Magic Sheet

Its also called the Dariya fringe shaper. This is really one of the most useful hair tool I'm using and I really think that every girl should have this. This product was out in 2009, sorry that I'm blogging about it now XD its a bit late hahaha. Anyways.... While I was in Shanghai for my internship I remembered that my colleague wore this to work O_o" And everybody was asking her what kind of weird thing she had on her head lol. I saw her wearing that during a meeting we had and I was thinking "Who would wear this to work? hahahah it looked so silly "....
They come with the colors; blue, pink and gray. There are two sheets in one pack.

So what is it?
This product is a hair stabilizer. It has a rectangle shape and it is used to keep your hair back while washing your face, applying your make-up or whenever you need it. This hair tool is made of Velcro and it will stick onto your hair without messing it all up. This is a great pro of this product, cuz normally I'm using hair clips and those will leave traces on your hair and with this you won't have that.

How to use?
You need to slide this hair tool over your fringe and that's it :). You really need to slide it over your hair and not just stick on it. It really works great on my thin hair. My hair is very thin by the way. However, it also works fine for people with thick hair.

Clean & Clear Oil Control Sheets

I bought this while I was in Hong Kong and in China. Friends who I often see might have seen me using this. I have a combined skin type, which means that my T-zone is very oily. A very good product for people with an oily face is the Clean & Clear oil control sheet. It's very easy to use and it works. If you're out for the whole day, you might use it twice per day and it also depends on the weather. While I was in China I saw a lot of oil control sheets of different brands, but a lot were fake, so I truly recommend people to buy oil control sheets from Clean & Clear.

Pros:
- It won't smudge your make up
- Removes the shine of your face
- Instantly removes excess oil
- The sheets are soft

Cons:
- It's expensive for just a few sheets

The blue version doesn't have any fragrance on it, but there is also a pink version, which has the grapefruit fragrance. Unfortunately you can't buy this product in Holland anymore. The price is around: 2.50 euros each and there are 60 sheets in it. The pink version is a bit more expensive; around 3 euros per pack.
