WHAMISA REAL KELP SHEET MASK
This is 100% real sea kelp and it will moisturize and create glowy skin, at least that is what they claim. Each sheet is drenched in a full bottle of fermented sea kelp and bamboo serum. It is formulated with kombu seaweed, this mask provides hydration and nutrition to the skin for 72 hours. It is ideal if you lack skin elasticity. It is free of parabens, silicones, mineral oils, synthetic dyes and fragrances.

THE KELP MASK The sheet is split into two parts to make it easier to put it on the face. It is soaked with serum that is yellow. I had to be careful when I grabbed the mask out, since it was slippery and it had a good amount of serum, but it wasn't dripping luckily.

HOW TO USE
Remove the white film and apply the kelp mask on the skin. You can remove the mask after 15-20 minutes. You can apply the remaining essence on the neck. No rinsing needed.
SCENT
It is 100% kelp sheet, so YES it definitely smells like seaweed. I just wanted to eat it hahah. If you cannot stand that scent, I would not recommend to get it because it has a strong seaweed scent.
FITTING
The fitting ain't great at all for me, it is way too big for my face as you can see below. The kelp sheet is hard so it is hard to adjust it. It didn't stick on the skin properly neither, if you look at the eye area and mouth area you can see spaces between the sheet and my face. I tried to push the sheet on my skin, but because of the hard texture, it just bounced back up. I doubt that my skin could absorb all the serum from the sheet :(.

WHERE TO BUY
This mask is sold at moonimask.com for €9.50. It was send to me for review purposes. As you can see the price for just 1 sheet, is pretty high. It is not because of this store, that is the normal price that you see on other online websites as well.
FINAL THOUGHTS
Unfortunately my skin didn't like this mask at all. My excitement when I received this mask, when I opened the mask was from 100 to 0 after trying it. And I do want to point out, this is my own experience, some people love it but I experienced it like this. It is sad to say that I had a bad experience from it and I had a bad reaction from this mask. Besides that the fitting and the texture wasn't the best. It started to burn my skin after 2 minutes while I had the mask on. I didn't patch test it (yes my bad) and I was confused and was first wondering if it should be like this, but no... After a few more minutes the burning sensation started to increase, so I removed it straight away and washed it off asap. I pat dried it and halleluja for my Cosrx Snail essence and my holy grail Benton Honest TT mist, because that reduced the burning feeling straight away.
It's really up to you if you are willing to pay €9,50 for a sheet mask. It it was a really good mask I would think about it. However, this mask really disappointed me, the texture and fitting wasn't great for me. And I was just unlucky that I had a bad reaction from it, kelp mask and me is just not meant to be T_T. I will definitely not repurchase this again.

This mask looks so great like a real natural sheet mask but it's sad that so many people are reacting bad to this product :(
ReplyDeleteI don't think seaweed is the best material for a mask...There's a reason people thought of using cotton sheets!! Seems a little gimmicky :). Well at least I know not to spend the $$$ on it!
