Review: Babyliss - iPro 230 iCurl Straighten & Curl

Today I'm going to review the iPro 230 iCurl from Babyliss Paris. It's a straightener but it's also made to create curls with it. Want to know what I think about it? Keep on reading!

PRICE
You can purchase it at babyliss-shop.nl for €68,95 (currently on sale), normally it's €74,99. In The Netherlands you are also able to purchase it at Kruidvat, Blokker, Media Markt, Saturn, Bol.com and BCC.

BABYLISS - IPRO 230 ICURL
This iron has nano titanium ceramic plates which will make your hair soft and shiny (at least that's what they claim). It has flat plates on the inside to straighten your hair and curved plates on the outside to create curls.
.
You can shift the button to the right to set it to 230 degrees to straighten your hair or shift to the left to curl your hair. It only has 2 degrees: 180 or 230. It's a pity that there's only 2 degrees =/.

.
You are able to lock the iron by sliding the button to the left and unlock by sliding it to the right. This is useful when you're finished using this iron.

.
You only need to wait a few seconds and the light will be red which means it's on the right temperature.

.
LETS GIVE IT A TRY
I know.. I know… it's pretty obvious that I photoshopped my face in the following pictures. My make up didn't look that great that day, but it's the hair that matters in this blogpost lol. Anyways, I naturally have straight hair, but never when I get out of bed.

.
STRAIGHTENED
In the picture below I used the straightener to straighten my hair. I did it within a few seconds and voila! Perfect straight hair ^^! It felt soft, not shiny, but not dry too.

.
CURLED
In the pictures below I created curls with the iron and to be honest I'm not a big fan of these curls. You are only able to create medium sized tight curls with this iron. It doesn't look natural. Also you do need to use a bit of strength to keep the 2 plates together to create curls. I always prefer a curling iron to get soft, natural curls. These are just not the curls that I prefer, but that's just my opinion. Also, it won't make your hair shiny and it looks slightly dry when you curl it.

If anyone knows a good curling iron to create nice natural soft curls, let me know in the comment section below ^^, i've been searching for one in ages!
