1. Do you have any pets?
Yes, I do :). 15 years already- I have 2 boring turtles. They were fun to play with when I was little, but now they are way bigger & slower than 15 years ago and one even bites >.<" EEK! A bit scared of it now.

2. Name 3 things that are physically close to you.
My laptop ofcourse!, my blog & facebook I guess.

3. What's the weather like right now?
moody, rainy, a lot of clouds~ I think I'm catching a cold =(

4. Do you drive? If so have you crashed?
Nope, no driving license yet.

5. What time did you wake up this morning?
Around 10.30 am. UGH! I only slept for like 6 hours @_@"

6. When was the last time you showered?
Last night, I shower every day before I go to sleep.

7. What was the last movie you saw?
Karate kid or do I have to say, Kung Fu kid. Great movie though !

A friend messaged me about his brand new phone lol.

Yup, Let me think.. I've been to Paris, Germany, China, Hong Kong. LOVES Hong Kong the most ^__^♥!

I LALALALAPF Sushi ! I even work at a sushi restaurant & I'm eating sushi at least twice a month l0l. I'm just so addicted to it~ and its so nice ♥

I'm only taking medicine when I'm sick.

I don't like to eat pizza, but if I really had to choose, it will be salami I think.

Chiliburgers of the McDonalds=P hahaha, those were so nice! Ok if I really had to choose I would pick a hamburger.

23. Have you ever had an all-nighter?
While I was working on my thesis I was awake till 6am. I even saw daylight and birds already @_@" sigh..

Darkish brown ^__^

25. Can you taste the difference between Pepsi and Coke?
Yes I can! I dislike Pepsi =/, Coca cola is WAYYYYY better!!

Dried meat 肉乾

Have you eaten this before? It's a typical Asian snack xD and these are from Kuala Lumpur, but I actually prefer the ones which are sold in Hong Kong and in Shanghai =D Those are more tasty! It's actually kind of weird to eat this, you're just eating a piece of meat~ >.<" However, I saw that you can buy pieces of meat at those food machines at school xD l0l so weird to see that in Europe~

BB nail art tutorial

Hello everybody^^ it has been a while! How have you guys been? I'm so happy to blog again!!! Sorry for not posting anything these few days. As you could see at some of my previous posts, I was extremely busy with my thesis >.<, therefore I didn't have the time to update my blog. Yesss.. got a lot of stress =( *sigh I had handed in my thesis today, so I have a bit more time now. And I wanted to share a nail art today^^!

A small bag which I bought in Hong Kong last year, isn't it cute? It matches my nails ^^ hihi.
I call it the baby blue (BB) nail art





BB Nail art tutorial:
Step 1: First of all I putted a base coat on my nails.
Step 2: I polished the tips of my nails with a baby blue nail polish
Step 3: I started to put some white dots on the tips of my nails with a toothpick.
Step 4: After that I used a glittery nail polish to create the line under the tips.
Step 5: Added a top coat after that, and voila ^^!

Nail polishes which I used:
I used a baby blue nail polish of the brand C&B
A white nail polish of Dear'Lee to create the dots
Glittery gray nail tip of Essence
Top coat of China glaze (I really like this top coat btw. ^^ it dries fast!)

Yayy^^! My sis just came back from Paris and bought some macaroons for me at Ladurée. It's so colorful ^^! Its so niceeee =D!

Streetstyle nail art tutorial

First of all clean your hands, put one layer base coat on your nails and let it dry. What you need for this tutorial is a green, pink and glittery nail polish. AND a small sponge. Remember the sponge nail art tutorial: http://memorabledays-x3.blogspot.com/2010/06/sponge-nail-art-tutorial.html

Step 1: I'm going to use the sponge method again ^^. So put a little bit of green nail polish on your small sponge and dap the sponge on the tips of your nails. Do this to all your nails and let it dry.


Step 2: Use a clean side of your sponge and put a little bit of pink nail polish on it. Dap the sponge with the pink side on the tips of your nails and let this dry.

Step 3: Put some glittery nail polish on the tips of your nails and let it dry.


Step 4: Put a top coat on your nails and you're done :)

1. Why did you start your own blog?
I actually started this blog, because I went to Asia the whole year in 2009 to study and to do my internship. So I made this blog to let my friends&family know how my life in Shanghai was and what I did there, I wrote about my adventures et cetera. And when I came back to Holland, I just wanted to move on with this blog, because it had become an addiction. And many friends had told me that they liked my blog and this is actually the reason what has been motivating me to write this blog.

2. Who inspires you the most?
Wow, though question... Uhmm I would say,.. my mom who can make the most yummiest Chinese snacks and food ever ='D

3. What is something unique about yourself?
I can eat quite a lot for a little girl gna gna ='D, especially Japanese food. It just depends in what kind of mood I'm in and with who I am.

4. Name an electronic appliance that you can live without.
An electronic toothbrush, I had one when I was young, but I think that the old school toothbrush is way better xD

5. Who is closest to you in your family (includes extended family) and why?
Probably my sisters, because they know more about me than my parents I think.

6. Describe your view of a 'perfect day'
Just relax and chill with my best friends, chat & laugh about everything and nothing, enjoy the nice weather and eat a lot of good stuff. Very simple... but I just like the simple life^^

7. How would you react if someone randomly comes up to you and says that they know you from your blog and they've been following you?
It would really surprise me, since my blog isn't that popular haha

8. What's the best gift that you've ever received?
Hmmm.. I would say a nintendo DS from a very good friend of mine ^^. Awesome gift which I'd never expected.

Healthy salad

Sorry for posting a lot of things about food lately and not tutorials and stuff. I have been way too busy with school lately. Yes I'm STILL busy with my thesis =.=" god, it's like a never ending story~ I hate it so bad! While everybody is having their vacation, I'm the one who sits in the library working on my thesis.. ok enough nagging~~ hehe.. So I promise you guys that I will start writing make up reviews and nail tutorials again and other interesting articles on my blog when I'm all done with my thesis.

But of course I also have to eat while making my thesis =P, so lately I started to make different kind of salads to stay healthy^^. I like a salad with lots of corn! because I love it~ pickles, lettuce and tomatoes.

Ganguro Japanese fashion

Ganguro stands for "Black face". I'm sure that most of you have heard of it before since its not new.

According to Wikipedia .....
It's is an alternative fashion trend of blond or orange hair and tanned skin among young Japanese women. Yamanba and manba are the extreme versions of the Ganguro fashion. They feature darker tans and add white lipstick, pastel eye makeup, tiny metallic or glittery adhesives below the eyes, brightly-colored contact lenses, plastic dayglo-colored clothing, and incongruous accessories to the ganguro look.


Look at the girl on the right looking at her xD I totally love Japan, but you need to have a lot of courage to put your make up as a Ganguro girl. Japan has so many great styles, but unfortunately I don't think this is one of them. I would rather dress Lolita style actually =D. I really think that the ganguro style is outrageous. However I do respect them cuz they dare to look like this. I don't mind the skin color, but what I don't like is the make up >.<

BBC (Even Western people have this style o.o)

I liked their natural faces more. How can you feel more confident when you have that bunch of make up on o_O? Would YOU have the courage to do this? Or have you ever done this before?
