Review + WIN: Aveda Dayspa Stress-Fix Treatment in Amsterdam
I recently went to the launch event for the new Aveda stress-fix products. During the event I met Marjolein de Swart, who is the owner of Aveda Dayspa in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. She invited me to her shop, gave a short tour and I even had the chance to experience one of her treatments - the Stress-Fix Massage Treatment. Read my review about it in today's post and I have a small surprise at the end of the post, that's right… I'm giving a treatment away!

High Tea at Ma Bella Cakery x Yumchatea in Amsterdam
All sweet tooths here will love this blogpost. There is a new hotspot in Amsterdam called Ma Bella Cakery! It's opened by Monique Trinh who started baking customized cakes as a hobby but ended up opening her own store at a lovely spot in Amsterdam. A few days ago I went to her Winter high tea party with a few friends of mine to check out her store, enjoy her baked sweets and to catch up with my girls.
A few years ago, back in 2012, I reviewed a few homemade cupcakes from her (see blogpost), so my loyal followers might recognize her amazing creations..

Foodhallen Amsterdam - Viet View, Friska, Bulls&Dogs!
OMG! FINALLY! A food market is here in Amsterdam called Foodhallen! It has been opened a few weeks ago and as a huge (instagram) foodie that I am, I just had to visit this place. When I stepped into the door, I could already feel the lovely ambience and the smell of food. You can find a lot of food from different kinds of cuisines in this indoor food market, from bitterballen (Dutch snacks), cheese, Japanese Temaki's (handrolls) to burgers and Vietnamese spring rolls. This time I tried Viet View, Bulls & Dogs and Friska!
.
VIET VIEW
Our first stop was Viet View! I actually wanted to try everything here since everything looked so good! They have Vietnamese rice paper rolls (goi cuon) with rib eye, chicken, shrimp and more, but also Vietnamese baguettes (banh mi) with rib eye, hanoi chicken, tofu or pork belly. Oh my, I eventually got the Saigon Rib eye baguette and it was good! The prices for the baguettes are around €7.- and the prices for the rice paper rolls are around €6.-
.
BULLS & DOGS
The next stop was Bulls & Dogs! They offer many hot dogs served in pretzel buns. It was my first time trying that combination. My friend and I shared two hot dogs together so we could try both, so we chose the Texas Hot Link (beef, spicy sauce, nacho's) and the Funky Fresh Dog (yoghurt, cucumber, unions). OMG, the Texas Hot Link was SOOOO GOOD! I would definitely recommend that one, it was so tasteful from the very first bite! The price was around €5.- for one hot dog.
.
FRISKA
The last stop was FRISKA. I've always loved healthy snacks so I just had to try this. Friska sells rolls, not regular rolls but healthy ones with fresh ingredients and they are all gluten free. I bought the one that's called Salmon Mandela, it has the oh so healthy quinoa in it, fresh salmon sashimi, spinach, cucumber, sesame and avocade-wasabi sauce - this all wrapped in seaweed. If I lived in this neighborhood I would definitely get this for breakfast over and over again. It was good and definitely fresh! The price was around €4,50.- each.
.
WHAT DO THEY HAVE MORE?
I only went to 3 stands because my stomach couldn't last more unfortunately haha. However, there are plenty of other stands there like:
• The Butcher - they got their famous angus beef burger
• The Rough Kitchen - they got their famous pulled pork sandwich
• Le Big Fish - a lovely fish soup
• Yogen Früz - for frozen yoghurt with fresh fruit
• Petit Gateau - for cute petite desserts
• BBROOD - fresh bread
• Shirkhan - Mumbai street food
• Meneer Temaki - the place for Japanese hand rolls
• Green brothers - vegetarian snacks
• De Ballenbar - for the Dutch snacks, bitterballen
• L’Entrecôte mobiel - with their famous L’Entrecôte sandwich
• Pink Flamingo - fresh pizza's
• Jabugo Bar Iberico - spanish snacks
• Caulils - cheese
• Filiz Manti - Turkish snacks
• Maza - for some lovely hummus and/or falafel
• Wild Moa Pies - pies from Australia/New Zealand
• Pasta di Mamma - real Italian pasta
WOULD I GO BACK TO FOODHALLEN?
Oh my, Foodhallen is really heaven for all foodies! The prices are reasonable as well. The ambience is good and it's a lovely place to eat with friends. It's also possible to just take away and eat it at home. The best thing about it is that there are currently 21 stands there, so you got plenty of choices. It's a place where I would definitely go back again and again, gotta try them all right?! If you are in Amsterdam you gotta visit this place. It's also good that it is opened every single day, check out their address and opening hours below.

Review: Nestle Green Tea Latte
Have you seen my latest Candysan.com haul where I purchased some lovely green tea products? In that haul you were also able to see that I also purchased the green tea latte from Nestle. It's instant so all you have to do is add hot water. In today's blogpost i will be sharing my thoughts about it.
.
WHERE TO BUY?
There are 9 sticks inside one box and one box costs €1.80 (link to product) at candysan. Oyatsucafe is selling these as well (link to product). Feel free to use my coupon code MEMORABLEDAYS at both websites to get a discount at checkout!
NESTLE GREEN TEA LATTE
You are able to drink it either cold or hot. I always prefer to drink these things hot, so I didn't try the cold version. The packaging is written in Japanese so I'm not able to translate it. Use one stick if you have a cup that fits 180ml of hot water, use half of the stick if you have 90ml of hot water. One cup of green tea latte only has 31 kcal, so don't be afraid to drink this if you are on a diet haha ^^.
.
DRINK TEST
I drank this during the weekends together with some kitkat's ^^. I had added some red beans into my green tea latte and I absolutely loved that combination! You are also able to put a kitkat green tea into your latte to make it more sweet! This green tea latte doesn't have a strong green tea taste unfortunately but it's not super sweet so it's great for people who don't like sweet drinks that much. To people who do like sweet drinks, you can always add some sugar to it. In my opinion, the sweetness level is good but i was hoping that the taste would be more bitter, like matcha. I don't think I will purchase this again and probably will try a different brand next time.
