Review: Missha Time Revolution First Treatment Essence

Today I'm going to review a product from Missha. I have been using this product for 5 weeks and I finally can write my experience about it. It's from their Time Revolution line and it's one of their popular skincare products called The First Treatment Essence.  If you are curious, make sure to read today's blogpost.

You can buy this at all Missha stores, but also online. I received this from Jolse.com for review purposes. The selling price of this essence is around USD$42.- online for a large bottle of 150ml of product. This is a lot cheaper than the famous SK-II Facial Treatment Essence which is sold for around $170 for the same amount, crazy right?!

So what is it? The Missha Time Revolution The First Treatment Essence is a so called "Miracle Water". Since I'm in my mid 20's it's good to use products which will improve my fine lines, skin tone and texture. That's what this essence does, it will improve fine lines and the skin tone. It's a bottle full of 80% of Fermented Yeast Concentrate Fissione. It provides 8 benefits of soothing, smoothing, balancing sebum level, moisturizing, improving skin tone, firming, wrinkle repairing and boosting. You should be  able to see results after 4 weeks… well, that's what they claim.

The packaging is a bit reflective, like the most Missha packaging of this line. The bottle itself is pretty large and made of sturdy, hard, translucent glass (frosted glass bottle). On the packaging it says that this bottle has an expiration date of 9 months after opening. It also comes with a product map, so you can see the order of the products, which ones should be applied first et cetera.

It’s liquid, runny and lightweight. It's translucent just like water. It has a faint scent of yeast. However, you well barely smell it.

Apply in the following order : Toner - Essence - Eye cream - Lotion - Cream. It's not a must to apply toner when you apply The First Treatment Essence, but you can apply it before applying normal toner or after cleansing toner. Avoid contact with your eyes.

I usually put a few drops on my hand and pat it on my face, but you can also soak the content fully in a cotton puff and tap lightly from the inside to the outside of the face until fully absorbed. Maximize absorption by massaging. Increase the rate of absorption on skin by covering the face with warm hands. It works better with massaging.

saccharomyces ferment filtrate, propanediol, glycyrrhiza glabra (licorice) root extract, niacinamide, polyquaternium-51, bifida ferment lysate, amaranthus caudatus seed extract, raffinose, ulmus davidiana root extract, pentylene glycol, piper methysticum leaf/root/stem extract, glycerin, beta vulgaris (beet) root extract, hydrolyzed corn starch, centella asiatica extract, portulaca oleracea extract, phenoxyethanol, chamomilla recutita (matricaria) flower extract, rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) leaf extract, phellodendron amurense bark extract, cassia alata leaf extract, tromethamine, water, adenosine, ethylhexylglycerin, hydrogenated lecithin, acetic acid, lactic acid, sodium hyaluronate

I simply love using essences. I have a combination dry skin, so I do have some dry areas on my cheeks.   I always love to have a moist boost product in my skincare routine! This product is very lightweight, absorbs quickly and is non sticky. I didn’t notice any major visible changes in my skin within the first 2-3 weeks. The essence didn’t irritate me though, no breakouts at all. After using this essence for 5 weeks I did notice some improvements. It made my skin feel extra moist, no dry flakes at all, made it soft and reduced my redness a little bit. I couldn't see any improvements on my fine lines though, but it's impossible to see drastic changes after just 5 weeks i think. So i'm curious how my skin is after a few months after using this product.
