Review: Aritaum Wannabe Cushion Tint - Twofacemall

Today I will be reviewing the Wannabe Cushion Tint  (아리따움 워너비 쿠션틴트) from a Korean brand Aritaum. You might haven't heard of this brand before since it's not that popular compared to Etude House and Skinfood. However, i'm sure that people in South-Korea are familiar with this brand. The wannabe cushion tints became very popular this season because of the lovely effect that it gives. Aritaum did a great job on inventing this lip cream/tint combo with a cushion bottom.

.

These are available in 10 colors and they recently released another 10, so there are 20 different colors available now! Which color would you like to try? In this blogpost i will be reviewing the cushion tint in color #09 Yonnie, which is an orange color.

PACKAGING
The packaging is colorful and there are weird dogs on it haha. I'm not a huge fan of the color combination and the pattern that they used for this product. Each color has a different pattern and packaging color. This product has two sides with two caps, on one side you can find the soft black cushion, on the other side you will see the lip cream/tint.

.
SWATCHES
In the picture below I did a swatch on my hand of the orange tint. On the left side I didn't use the cushion, so the color looks intense and pigmented. On the right side I used the cushion and it blurred the color out a bit making it look natural and less harsh. You can create different kind of effects with this product and that's the fun part! See the swatches below for the effects.

.
BARE LIPS AND LIPS WITH CUSHION TINT AND LIP BALM
On the left picture below you can see a picture of my bare lips and you can compare this to the right picture where I applied the cushion tint and the original vaseline lip balm on top of it. I'm loving the outcome, it looks pretty natural!

.
LIP TINT WITH AND WITHOUT CUSHION
On the left picture below I applied 1 layer of the lip tint only, as you can see it looks pretty intense and pigmented. I don't recommend to apply another layer, since it will make your lips look very dry. In my opinion it looks too intense on me, so i prefer to use the cushion afterwards, see right picture below for the outcome.

.
OMBRE LIPS
Ombre lips aka gradient lips aka bitten lips, whatever you would like to call it. I noticed that it's not possible to create ombre lips with this cushion tint since your lips will look very dry. I recommend to use a lip concealer first and apply the cushion tint in the middle of your lips. This is the method that i used and you can see the outcome on the left picture below. On the right picture below I applied a lip balm and lip gloss on top of it to make it look more moist. Would you like to know how to create ombre lips? Click here for the tutorial.

.
STAYING POWER & SCENT
The staying power wasn't that great since it didn't last long on my lips. After I drank and ate it was barely visible anymore. Such a pity though. The product smells like oranges, but it's not overwhelming.

.
FINAL THOUGHTS
Overall, it's a nice & very pigmented product and I would love to try other colors as well. I never knew that an orange lip tint would suit me haha. I love it on my lips since it looks so natural, but it's a MUST to moisturize and scrub your lips well before applying this product otherwise flakes would be visible. Also, it's such a pity that it didn't last long on my lips.
