My thoughts & experiences about LUUUX.com

Can you still remember this blogpost: "Earn money with your blogposts!" which I posted last year? Yeah that blogpost was about LUUUX.com. A website that has grown within two years! It's a website where you earn points every time you add a post, comment or rate a content. The better the community says your content is, the more Luuux money you earn. The more Luuux money you have, the more things you can buy. That's right, you can exchange the points to get awesome products like a Michael kors watch, an ipod, ipad, or even a LV bag. I was active on that website (I spend 3 hours per day) when I first discovered it, mainly to check if this website wasn't a scam and I secretly wanted to have the Sigma brush set that I could get if I had enough points. Note: this is NOT an advertorial. In this blogpost I'm going to share my thoughts and experiences about this website. I FINALLY had the chance to make an order there, but the product wasn't the one I wished for =[ *sigh ..

First order (trial 1)
The large sigma brush set was around 8,580 Luuux points or something. (They increased the points throughout the year.) I finally had enough points after approximately 5 months. I was so excited because I thought that I finally had the chance to get it! Ugh, but after a week or so, some moderators removed like 3000 points from my account because I had put some blogposts in a wrong category according to them. Also, they told me that I wasn't allowed to refer the posts to my blog all the time. I was like what the o__O" *sigh, it took so long to get those points and 3000 were removed all within one day just because of those reasons?! I was so unhappy about it because it took a lot of effort to post things there. So after this incident, I stopped going on LUUUX...

A month ago I started to check on my LUUUX account again (because I was bored) and I actually wanted to close it down. However, I curiously checked what I was able to get with the points which I had left. I noticed that they removed the sigma brush set btw and replaced it with different items. Anyways, the only thing that I could get and what I was interested in was the Luuux "limited edition" brush set. (Limited edition my ass, it was already available a year ago lol.) I decided to order it.

First order (trial 2)
This time, the process went easily and no points were reduced from my account. I received the item a few days ago and it took around a week until it arrived. Which means, that this website isn't a scam, but it takes a lot of effort to get those points and yeah, is it really worth the effort? It's better to read a book or make your homework instead of putting your energy into this website =.=" *sigh. And as you can see, i'm quite negative about LUUUX compared to my previous blogpost about it because of my experiences. Anyways, I'm going to close my account there soon since I only wanted to check if the website isn't a scam or not.

I will write a seperate review about the Luuux brush set, so stay tuned.

  1. Good morning honey! I have an account Luuux but I went there rarely... getting points is so damn hard  and I can't stay there for such long time ! :(

  2. I was wondering about the LUUUX as well, whether it's just a scam site or if they're true to their words. After reading your review, I would probably not sign up. 5 months is too long to spend it on a set of brushes lol. I'll rather save up some cash each month to splurge it on items that I wish to have. Then, regarding the mod deducting your points, I think that's poorly managed of them. It's their fault in the first place for not telling it to you straight away. Besides, they are mods.. mods are supposed to ensure that everything is moved to the right spot. Deducting hard earned 3000 points seems a bit too much, especially since this is the first time you received such warning. :/

  4. totally agree. and it's better to put your free time anywhere else than on this website. This website isn't a scam, but it's so hard to earn those points. Also, removing the 3000 points in just one day is ridiculous >.<"!!

  8. Agreed. I think it's hard to get points there which is why I kind of stopped. I've been on there for a year and I only have roughly 3000 points LOL! I'm glad you were able to get your items though! Hopefully the brushes works well because I remember seeing the reviews a lot of people liked it.

  11. I really hope they don't take away my points too Elisa :( I've spent so much time on there already and would hate to have all that work go to waste.

I always link my original blog post at the footer where you give credit to the original author...now I'm wondering if I should remove all the links before I submit an order in the shop...

I've pretty much given up on the site - I used to be active all the time, but now I just create posts and don't bother commenting on others. The site is always so slow and it's so difficult to earn enough points unless you spend hours on it everyday :(

  12. i gave up on that site as well.
I heard that they limited the amount of points that you may earn per day too.

The time that they removed my points was a few months ago, maybe they aren't that strict anymore? (i have no idea)hmm.. did you post the whole blogpost on luuux, or did you just copy and paste a small part of the post and forwarded it to your website?

  13. I pasted like...80% of my blog post usually, so the length isn't too short, then linked to my blog. I think I'm going to go back and erase all the links from my posts just in case though.. =/

  14. its okay to paste the contents on your blog there coz thats what i do too. i think what they meant not to refer to your blog all the time is this.. hmm i remember reading your posts there and you always have this something like "read more on my blog" thing? im not sure but the thought is kinda similar on that ^^ maybe they want you to post the whole article/copy paste them there.

i had ordered from them last year and I got refunded because they cant find a seller that will ship to my country. but now im going to try again as i found someone who will help me about the shipping address

hope this helps =) i actually joined them because of you as i have read it from your blog hehe :)

  15.  you can always paste all the contents of your blog there. i also just lazily copy paste my blog there and its okay with them. you can also put in your blog link there its also okay =) because its your own content so the copyright is yours.

  16. yeah, it's probably because of that.. since i posted the "read more.. " thing. Anyhow, i don't want to go on that website again, it's so frustrating because it goes so slow.. and the amount of points that you need for the products are increasing ALL the time.. T_T" .. better put my energy and time on a different website than on that one ..

  17. like Jel O said.. it's probably better to keep the copyright/source.. but remove the sentences with "go to my blog for more information".. since i know that you write that sometimes on your post at luuux as well.. That's what I did, and that's probably also the reason why they removed my points.

  18. Well, I'll be looking forward to seeing the brush set at least. I think these types of websites are a great idea but it really is hard word. Sometimes it's easier (and more effective) to just network yourself..

  19. not anymore. Too  lazy to make a review...haha
