Review: Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Clay Mask

Hi all! Sorry for being offline for a few weeks girls, but I'm back and trying to pick up blogging again. I have been so busy with my full-time job which made it hard to combine blogging with it. Anyways, lets get it started! I recently received this product of Innisfree from Jolse.com. It's called the Jeju Volcanic Pore Clay Mask. It's one of Innisfree' best sellers and after reading some reviews online, it seems to clean the pores really well, so I really wanted to give it a try. If you want to know my thoughts about this product, keep on reading!

INNISFREE JEJU VOLCANIC PORE CLAY MASK
An important ingredient inside this mask is the Jeju volcanic scoria which is formulated from solidified lava caused by volcanic eruptions in Jeju Island. It absorbs impurities and sebum that are deeply embedded within the pores on the skin. Leaving your skin bright, smooth, clean, sebum - and pore free.

It has a 4-free system: free of mineral oil, animal-originated ingredients, artificial fragrances and imidazolidinyl urea.

PACKAGING
It comes in a brown packaging which is recycled paper. It has Korean as well as English descriptions on it. The packaging of the product itself looks like hard plastic. Once you twist the cap open you will see a film on top, remove that so you can get the mask out.

HOW TO USE
After cleansing and refining skin with toner, gently smooth it over the entire face or the parts where you need it. Avoid the eyes and lip area. Rinse it off with lukewarm water after 15 minutes. Believe me, it's not hard to wash it off. It's recommended to use it once or twice a week.

STRUCTURE & SCENT
The product name says it already, it just has a structure of clay, but you can easily spread it out. The clay will dry after 15 minutes, but it won't turn very hard like certain clay masks does and it won't make your face feel stiff. The mask smells like a fresh clay and it's not a strong scent at all. The packaging looks small but it has 100ml of product in it. You don't need that much product per usage.

MY THOUGHTS
I have a combination dry skin and I use this mask on my T-zone and chin area, which are the areas where I need sebum and pore control. I've used this clay mask 4 times within 2 weeks, and I love how it feels afterwards. Once you apply this mask you will notice the lovely cooling effect that it has. It just feels like a thick cream when applying, it's easy to spread and easy to wash off with lukewarm water. Once you rinse it off and dap it with a towel, you will notice that your skin is SEBUM FREE and very SMOOTH. It doesn't feel very moist nor dry, but just right. And I was just amazed that it really removed all of my white- as well as blackheads and the size of my pores looked smaller after usage. However, my pores tend to look normal again the next day, so I think I should use this more often to be able to see good results of the size of the pores. Brightening effect was slightly visible but it was temporary.

I can see why many people love this clay mask, it really works with sebum and pore control! I probably would purchase the Super version when I'm done with this one, so that I can compare. Although this version did a great job on my skin already.

SUPER VOLCANIC PORE CLAY MASK DIFFERENCE
That's right, Innisfree also sells the Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask which has 2 times of Jeju volcanic ingredients, it has a stronger function of removing sebum and it also makes you pore free. The ingredient list of the super version is also slightly different. So if you need a stronger version, you might consider buying this one instead.

WHERE TO BUY?
I got this product from Jolse.com where they are selling it for USD$14.98. They also sell the Super version for USD$15.98. I have purchased from this shop several times already and I love their service and the amount of samples that you get at every purchase!

note: these products were sent to me for review purposes, but this didn't affect my opinion about the product, see disclaimer.
