Where to eat in Amsterdam: Bakers and Roasters

I've been going to this brunch place for a very long time, but I don't know why I never shared this spot before. It's called Bakers & Roasters - a New Zealand style cafĂ© and is my ultimate favorite spot for breakfast, lunch and brunch. Yes girls, It's THE BEST spot in Amsterdam! The pictures in this blogpost were not taken on the same day.

In the picture above you can see American stacked pancakes with fresh blue berries, Canadian maple syrup and bananas. They are SO GOOD! Besides that, you're also looking at the "Huevos Rancheros" - Crispy tortilla topped with organic Brazilian black beans, melted cheese, two fried eggs, avocado, fresh tomato salsa and sour cream. Such a good combination, it had such an mexican taste to it. However, it was a bit too much for me, so I shared this.

My goal is to try everything on their menu within this year hahah. No matter what you get - a dish,  dessert or a drink, everything is good. No really... I'm serious!

In the pictures above you can see poached eggs with spinach on buttered toasts and the vegge brekkie. The vegge brekkie contains - two poached eggs, potatoes, garlicky spinach, creamy mushrooms, home-made relish and hot buttered toast.

Unfortunately the dish above isn't sold anymore since they change their menu once in a while. Besides their dishes, I also tried their fresh juices and homemade cakes. When I saw that they sell red velvet cakes, I just had to try it - and guess what… It's the best that I tried so far! The sweetness is just right!

.
Can you see why I love this place? I just want to try all of their dishes! I'm loving the vibe there as well, it's very chill and the workers are kind and helpful. A thing that you might not like is the price, you can expect a bill of €20.- each for lunch depending on what you're getting of course. Another downside is the waiting time. If you go during the weekends you have to wait AT LEAST an hour. You are not able to make reservations there, so first comes first served. There is a queue during weekdays as well, but you normally don't have to wait that long during weekdays. Believe me, the waiting time is definitely worth it!
