Review: It's Skin Power 10 Formula YE Effector

I like using concentrated essences lately. Korean brand It's Skin has a wide range of essences in their assortment. I have blogged about their essence collection in one of my previous blogposts and I reviewed the CO Effector (collagen) before. As some of you might know, I wasn't really amazed by it. But each essence is different, so today I'm reviewing the Power 10 Formula YE Effector (yeast extract). Is it disappointing or not? Keep on reading if you want to know more about this product.

My skin type: combination dry (cheeks are dry, but my T-zone is oily).

The YE Effector is It's Skin' #3 best selling essence, so I was very curious about it. YE - Yeast Extract  stimulates the recovery and elasticity of the skin and it may be instrumental in enhancing the rate of cell turnover in the skin as well. It has 30ml of product in it.

Great packaging, easy to travel with, and there are lines at the side so you can see how much product you have left. You can easily control the amount that you would like to have. The only downside is that it's hard to reach the last few drops.

This concentrated essence is translucent and has a bit of a medical scent to it, nothing overwhelming. After toner, I apply 2-3 drops on my face and neck and I spread it until it's fully absorbed (within seconds). I've been testing this product out for a month and it didn't break me out. I did feel that it's moist but no other magnificent changes were seen or felt afterwards. It's funny that so many people raved about this product and in the end it's quite disappointing - I expected more results than this.

The funny part is that this Korean tv show even compared it with the Lancome Genifique and the Estee Lauder advanced night repair and the outcome was that the YE Effector from It's Skin has won the test. I have used and tried them all for a longer period but I don't think those are comparable. Also this product contains parabens (see ingredient list*).

I will definitely stick with the Missha Time Revolution Night Repair Ampoule that I'm using now, because I noticed more results after usage. I will stop buying the effectors from It's Skin, since both effectors that I tried weren't that amazing. The good part is that it is around $10 and it will last for at least 2,5 months I think (depending on how often you use it). However, I rather save the money for something more expensive or I would just re-purchase the Missha ampoule with it.

I bought the It's Skin YE Effector at beautynetkorea.com for USD$11.07, but you can also purchase it at jolse.com and at w2beauty.com.
