Part 1: My Short Trip to Milan, Italy with Easyjet
Hi girls!! I'm back from Milan with plenty of pictures that I'm going to share. I decided to bring my iPhone only since my dslr is too heavy =.=", so the quality of the pictures are just so-so. I am going to write 2-3 blogposts about it since I don't want to bomb you with too many text/pictures. However, don't worry... I will tell you everything about my trip, what I did, where I went and in which hotel I stayed et cetera hahah. It actually was a last minute decision that my friends and I would go to Milan. We booked a ticket a week before the trip and thankfully we were able to find some inexpensive tickets via Easyjet. The flight to Milan was great, no turbulence or anything and it only took 1.5 hour to get there. I closed my eyes, took a short nap in the airplane and before I knew it I was there already. I stayed in Milan for 3 days: Friday and during the weekends. It was my first time in Italy, so it was an amazing experience to be there!
P.s. I wanted to take a similar picture as the one that I posted a few days ago where I announced that I would go to Milan lol, looks almost the same right?! hahaha ^^. Keep on reading to read more about my experience in Milan...
We arrived at Milan Malpensa, the biggest airport in Milan which is not far away from the city center. We bought some train tickets there to get to the city center of Milan where our hotel was. We stayed at Hotel Five, which is a 3 star hotel. I was so happy that I booked a room there since their service was amazing! The personnel was very friendly, willing to help and could speak English. The room was quite big for 3 people and was very clean. It felt so comfortable there. I highly recommend this hotel ^^, so if you're planning a trip to Milan go to this hotel. The price/quality ratio is great, it's inexpensive and there is free WIFI and free breakfast! Ok enough about the hotel.. lets move on with some sightseeing in Milan.
We went to the subwaystop, Duomo to visit the shopping mall called Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. The Galleria is named after Vittorio Emanuele II, the first king of the Kingdom of Italy. The building is just stunning, breathtaking! I just couldn't stop looking at the top and on the ground with all those mosaic! And of course, there were only high end shops in this shopping mall like Louis Vuitton and Gucci. You must visit this shopping mall when you're in Milan! Even if you don't have much money to buy those high end products, you are able to look around like I did heheheh..

After walking through this shopping mall we decided to walk near the neighborhood with even more high end shops. I just love the buildings in Milan, why don't they have these buildings in The Netherlands =(. We also saw a statue of Leonardo near the Galleria.
And of course, we mustn't forget to try the Italian ice cream! At the next part I will talk more about the food and the non-stressed life in Milan. Stay Tuned!
